Why Men Keep Straying: A Parable

Why Men Keep Straying: A Parable

Why do men wander? This old Eastern parable offers a surprisingly sharp — and humorous — answer. AdmiGram.com invites you to take a look.

Why Men Keep Straying: A Parable

Long ago, the Great Creator shaped ten men out of clay and fired them in the furnace of creation. They lived together in a paradise village and knew no hardship. Some hunted in lush forests, others fished in crystal-clear lakes, and the rest easily found work they enjoyed.

Life was easy — too easy. Eventually, they grew bored.

So they gathered and went to the Great Creator with a request:

— We have everything… and yet something is missing. We’re bored.

The Creator thought for a moment and then told them to prepare dough, and each man was to shape his ideal woman — slim or curvy, blonde or dark-haired, however he liked. He would then bake them in the furnace of creation and bring the men joy.

Before sending them off, the Creator gave each man a small vial of honey from his heavenly meadows — so the dough would be even sweeter.

The men thanked him, grabbed their vials, and rushed home to finish everything by morning.

The next day, they returned with their creations. The Creator looked at them sternly and said:

— There is a deceiver among you! There were eleven vials of honey on the tray. Who took two?

No matter how he demanded an answer, none of the men confessed. Furious, the Creator took the women, baked them as promised — but then mixed them all up and gave each man whichever one he happened to receive.

And ever since that day, nine out of ten men keep searching for the one who seems “sweetest” — because she must have received two vials of divine honey.

Only one man out of ten knows the truth: all women are the same.

Because he’s the one who took the extra honey… and kept it for himself.
