Have you ever noticed how a man’s priorities change over the years? At 20, happiness looks completely different than it does at 40, 60, or 80.
Life has a funny way of teaching lessons. The things that once seemed incredibly important gradually lose their shine, while simple pleasures suddenly become priceless.
At AdmiGram.com, we decided to look at this journey with a sense of humor. Here are the 5 stages of life every man eventually goes through.
5 Stages of Life Understanding for Any Man
Stage 1: Bigger Is Better
At this stage, life is simple.
A man believes happiness can be measured in horsepower, screen size, and the price tag of his latest purchase.
He dreams of owning a huge car, upgrading to the newest gadgets, and finally finishing that famous book everyone talks about (even though he keeps falling asleep after a few pages).
And of course, he’s convinced he’s found the perfect blonde he’ll spend the rest of his life with.
Life is good.
Or so he thinks.
Stage 2: Welcome to Reality
Suddenly, that giant car doesn’t seem so practical anymore.
A smaller, fuel-efficient vehicle starts making a lot more sense.
The latest gadgets? Not happening. There are bills to pay now.
Somewhere along the way, the dream blonde disappeared, and he ended up marrying a sarcastic brunette with a sharp sense of humor.
Then he discovers an important life lesson:
His wife isn’t always the most difficult woman in his life.
Her mother exists.
Stage 3: The Age of Sacrifice
Now things get serious.
The economical car is replaced by a bicycle because it’s cheaper, healthier, and doesn’t require gas.
His phone screen has been cracked for three years, but replacing it feels unnecessary.
Meanwhile, his wife and daughter somehow need more closet space every year.
He also develops a deep emotional bond with a dog he never wanted but somehow becomes responsible for walking every morning at 6 a.m. — rain, snow, or sunshine.
Stage 4: The Great Escape
At this point, happiness has a new address.
It’s a tiny cabin, cottage, or fishing shack somewhere far away from everyone.
Weekends are spent in a friend’s garage, where several middle-aged men gather for what appears to be car maintenance.
In reality, they’re just sitting around talking about the good old days.
Back when they drove expensive cars, had fewer responsibilities, and were absolutely certain they had life figured out.
Stage 5: Wisdom Arrives
Eventually, something unexpected happens.
The sarcastic brunette becomes his favorite person.
Sure, she still knows exactly how to push his buttons, but she’s also been by his side through everything life has thrown his way.
The kids grow up and start bringing the grandchildren over every weekend.
He spends the next week recovering from the visit — and secretly looking forward to the next one.
And finally, he achieves true enlightenment:
He learns to remember where he left his glasses.
Most of the time.
The slippers, however, remain a mystery.
