This problem affects everyone because industries constantly evolve. Sooner or later, you will have to learn something new or adapt to an innovation. It doesn’t matter how comfortable the old accounting software was or how easy the old customer service process used to be — things change.
In these situations, it’s best to embrace the learning curve. Leave the complaints and passive-aggressive resistance behind. Remember the Luddites. It is much easier for an employer to replace you than to alter their entire corporate strategy to make you happy.
Failing to Solve Problems

This mistake affects both upper management and entry-level staff. Sometimes, a manager’s ego gets in the way of what the employer actually wants to see: a controlled, efficient workflow. Your personal ambition and autonomy shouldn’t come at the expense of the team.
You need to dig into why problems happen and fix them, rather than just blaming human error. If specialists keep getting fired, new people come in, and goals are still not being met, you will be held accountable for the ongoing disruption. And the higher your position, the harder it will be to find a new job after being let go for incompetence.
