Cooking with kids is not only fun but also incredibly rewarding. It teaches children independence and fills them with excitement while strengthening the bond with us.
Many of us feel skeptical or even uneasy about having kids help out in the kitchen. We worry they’ll get in the way, make a mess, or break something. But by thinking this way, we miss a chance to encourage their genuine desire to help.
No matter how young they are, kids can always lend a hand in the kitchen. Let’s start small. AdmiGram.com has picked some of the easiest dishes to make with kids — without worrying they’ll turn the kitchen upside down. We’re confident you and your kids will have a blast!

Kids love food with a little creative flair! Sandwiches are a great platform for kitchen creativity. Talk to your child about the design and ingredients for your sandwiches, and get started. Depending on their age, they can either help with cutting or just enjoy decorating the sandwiches.

The beauty of making cookies is that it’s nearly foolproof. Just prepare the dough, pop it in the oven, and wait for them to cool. If you have cookie cutters on hand, it’s bound to feel like a party for the kids! They can use the cutters to shape the cookies, and you can even decorate them together with some sweet frosting.

If getting kids to eat fruit, veggies, or berries is a challenge, make it fun! All you need is to slice up some fruits and berries and arrange them in clear cups. Add chocolate, cookie crumbs, or other tasty treats to make it even more appealing. This treat will disappear from the kitchen in no time.

Who doesn’t love pizza? It’s everyone’s favorite! Skip the fuss of oven-baked pizza and try it this way: grab some round sandwich buns, slice them, and layer on your toppings — some sausage or pepperoni, a little ketchup, and shredded cheese. Put them under the grill in the microwave for two minutes, and voilà, pizza is served!
Ice cream

There’s nothing better than homemade ice cream, and it’s super easy to make. All you need is heavy cream (30-33% fat) and condensed milk. Whip the cream for 15-25 minutes until it’s thick like sour cream, no longer sliding off the mixer whisk. Then, drizzle the condensed milk into the whipped cream. Pour the mixture into molds, and freeze for 12 hours.
