What sets a good psychologist apart from a bad one? In reality, this question is so philosophical that one could debate it endlessly. However, it’s unlikely that anyone would argue that the least effective psychologist is the one you visit only once and immediately forget about your problems.
AdmiGram.com will tell you about a brilliant psychologist who, in practically just one session, cured everyone who came to him with problems of heightened irritability. One can only admire his convincing wisdom, which heals and explains to everyone how to find true peace.

Typically, the doctor’s appointments began like this. Anyone who came to him endlessly complained about how tired they were and how much their work, colleagues, neighbors, children, wife, husband… irritated them. How terrible everything was and how there was simply no place for them in this world where they could be alone and find peace.
The doctor unquestionably agreed with them and said that it would be great if each of us had our own country house in the woods where we could rest alone in silence, even just on weekends. The patient nodded affirmatively, thinking that it would be darn great. Just another moment, and the doctor would develop the idea further.
Despite this wonderful alternative, having a country house wasn’t a straightforward solution either. Creaking boards, the absence of familiar urban comforts, and so on. The doctor and the patient agreed that it would be easier to enjoy the tranquility of the forest. But even that wasn’t without issues. All those mosquitoes, gnats, and the chirping of birds. There wasn’t real silence and serenity.
Even in a solitary and desolate cave, the sound of dripping water could irritate anyone. The doctor continued to emphasize this, mentioning how cold and uncomfortable it was in a damp, dark cave. And he asked the patient what they would be thinking about at that moment? Without exception, they all said they wouldn’t mind being in a cozier, brighter, and warmer place.
The doctor slyly asked if it would be good to have a soft, comfortable couch in that place. A television with your favorite shows? And a couple of beer cans in the fridge? At that point, everyone burst into laughter and unanimously agreed with what the doctor was implying. Home, sweet home!
Moral: inner peace doesn’t depend on external circumstances. It’s all within us — all the problems and all the solutions. Understanding this single moment makes life incredibly easier and frees us from most of our life’s problems. Once you grasp this, you stop looking for culprits and begin to live in harmony with the most important person in your life — yourself.
