How can you tell if a guy misses you? It’s a question that can pop into your head no matter how long you’ve been together — or even after you’ve broken up.
Matters of the heart aren’t exactly like math, where everything is as simple as two plus two. And things get even more complicated when guys decide that talking about their feelings is somehow optional.
So how are you supposed to know if he still loves you, misses you, or has simply packed his feelings away and moved on?
Luckily, there are some pretty obvious clues.
If you want to know whether a guy is thinking about you, pay attention to what he does, not just what he says. His actions can reveal quite a bit about how much he wants your attention and connection.
We at AdmiGram.com collected 10 common signs that a guy may really miss you. Take a look — and see if any of them sound familiar.
10 Clear Signs He Misses You

One of the clearest signs that a guy misses you is that he wants to stay in touch.
He calls. He texts. He sends you memes. He asks what you’re doing. He wants to see you and keeps suggesting plans.
And in the most dramatic cases, he may even resort to something straight out of a romantic comedy — like showing up unexpectedly or tossing pebbles at your window.
Okay, maybe don’t encourage the window thing.
The point is simple: he wants your attention and misses having you around.
He Gets Jealous of Your Friends
If your boyfriend is jealous of other guys, that’s one thing.
But if he starts getting jealous of your girlfriends, that’s a different story.
Maybe you’re spending more time with your friends than with him, and he starts wondering when he’ll get his turn.
It’s not necessarily a sign of serious jealousy. But if he’s clearly trying to get more of your attention, it could mean that he misses spending time with you.
He’s Suddenly Very Interested in Your Social Media

If you can’t post a photo on Instagram without finding his like or comment underneath it, he clearly isn’t ignoring you.
This is especially noticeable when you don’t see each other very often.
He may start liking old photos, reacting to your stories, sending you messages, or finding random excuses to comment on your posts.
Sometimes social media is simply the easiest way to stay connected when he can’t be with you in person.
He Tries to Surprise You
For some guys, saying “I miss you” isn’t nearly as easy as showing it.
So instead of making a big emotional speech, they do something unexpected.
Maybe he brings you your favorite coffee. Maybe he shows up with flowers. Maybe he remembers some tiny detail you mentioned weeks ago and surprises you with it.
He may not have a hundred roses or a grand romantic gesture planned.
But if he really wants to make you smile, he’ll probably find his own way to do it.
When He Sees You, He Acts Like a Goofball
You know that moment when a guy you’ve barely seen all week suddenly starts acting like an excited little kid?
He’s smiling for no reason. He’s teasing you. He’s unusually playful. He can’t seem to sit still.
If your boyfriend suddenly reminds you of your little brother who just got the birthday present he’d been waiting for all year, don’t worry.
He may simply be really happy to see you.
Sometimes missing someone builds up a lot of emotion — and when that person finally walks through the door, it all comes out at once.
Signs He Misses You After a Fight or Breakup

After a fight or breakup, some people still find excuses to check in.
He might send a simple “How are you?” or react to one of your stories. Maybe he asks about something completely random just to start a conversation.
Not everyone has the courage to walk up and say, “I want to talk.”
A text can feel much safer.
So if he keeps finding little ways to contact you after an argument or breakup, he may not be as ready to let go as he says.
That doesn’t automatically mean you should get back together. But it does mean the connection may still matter to him.
He Makes Strange, Random Phone Calls
You know the kind.
He calls you and suddenly has absolutely no idea what he wanted to say.
He talks quietly. He jumps from one topic to another. He asks some completely random question and then seems to forget why he called in the first place.
If he’s acting unusually awkward on the phone, there may be a reason.
Sometimes people call because they miss someone — even when they don’t really know what to say.
Of course, if someone calls you while seriously intoxicated or behaves in a way that makes you uncomfortable, that’s a completely different situation. Trust your instincts and set boundaries.
He Actually Sends You That Giant Bouquet of Roses

Remember that huge bouquet of a hundred roses from every romantic movie ever made?
Well, sometimes guys actually do it.
If your doorbell rings one morning and you’re suddenly standing face-to-face with an enormous bouquet of roses, it’s a pretty strong sign that he wants to make a statement.
Maybe he doesn’t show up himself. Maybe he sends the flowers through a delivery service.
Either way, he’s putting real effort into getting your attention.
Of course, there’s one important exception: if he’s extremely wealthy, a giant bouquet might be the romantic equivalent of buying a cup of coffee.
For everyone else, though, that’s a pretty serious flower bill.
He Still Has Photos of You on His Social Media
Social media can be a surprisingly good snapshot of a relationship.
Even if a guy is trying to act like he doesn’t care, he may leave old photos of the two of you on his profile.
Maybe he hasn’t deleted them. Maybe he still has an old vacation photo, birthday picture, or random selfie featuring you.
That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s secretly planning a reunion.
But if the photos are still there, the memories may still mean something to him.
He Hasn’t Deleted You From Social Media
Let’s be honest: after a breakup, people often do a lot of dramatic things.
Delete the photos. Unfollow each other. Block each other. Announce that it’s “finally over.”
And then, three days later, someone is quietly checking the other person’s Instagram.
Sound familiar?
Social media makes it incredibly easy to keep a tiny window open to someone’s life, even after you’ve stopped talking.
So if neither of you has completely cut the other person off — and there was still something good between you — there’s no need to turn it into a game.
If you genuinely want to know how he’s doing, you can always send a simple message.
Who knows?
Maybe the story isn’t over yet.
